Start out your tour at El Fortín Conde de Mirasol (Fort Mirasol) where you can study the history of Vieques from it earliest inhabitants, the Taíno Indians to the Spanish Conquistadors. The fort bookstore has a variety of books available which expands on various aspects of Vieques history. When finished absorbing all the history that you can handle, nourish your body with culture and a taste of Puerto Rican cuisine.
